Criteria D-Portfolio 3

Criteria D:
Solutions to the problems arising from the issue

There are different possible solutions for the problems that are raised with the use of data mining in the field of health and pharmaceutical services. One of the most feasible is create new web applications that are maybe able to give more security to these data-bases that are being shared. This program or web application should have any kind of codes or password in order to prevent lots of people modifying the data that is being exchanged within the web. To prevent pharmaceutical companies of reading and analyzing not only the status of the doctors such as what they have done in their careers such as surgeries and clinical procedures; but also their prescriptions which let companies know what kind of medicines is being provided and how they can find a way to make the psychiatrics and doctors prescribe certain brand of medicine. There should be a non-biased organization that is the only one able to read and analyze this information and then they would be able to tell the people about epidemics without the needing of giving out the doctor’s private information.

If there is a password system and if the information is kept under any kind of organization people wont be able to modify the information being shared in this web applications such as healthmap.org and also they wont be able to lie on the information therefore showing reliability and also security. The organization is a good idea of tracking down the different sicknesses and epidemics presented without extracting any personal information about the doctors and what they prescribe to their patients because this situation raises to privacy issues and the information of doctors being shared is not good because as we know hackers can easily modify this information and also the different pharmaceutical companies wont be able to exert any pressure on the doctors.
